Hi everyone, I was just wandering how many turns of the density dial you do? I sometimes find that it's different depending on which % you use.

I've just used a marker pen so I can see how many turns I am doing. All though I've only stuck to testing on couch roll, I never take notice of how many turns I've done before! It says on my sienna x sheet to turn 1.5 - 2 full turns and spray 4" away!

Just wandering that's all

I normally turn mine just a 3/4 turn at first and then find I have to turn it to a half turn as I get further into the treatment.

I have found that this varies with each different brand of solution. Some have a lot of moisturisers etc added and i have found that these solutions need the gun to be turned up more to allow the thicker liquid to flow properly. These thicker solutions tend to be oil based. Water based solutions flow easily at a lower setting approx half a turn.

I have tried sienna in my T200 and the setting was probably much the same as I said earlier, i.e. half to 3/4 turn. I would have thought turning up to 2 times would waste a lot of solution and be unneccesary.

Hope this helps!

Thankyou:hug:

How far do you hold the gun away?

I open mine to between 20 past and quarter past if you understand what I mean and I hold my gun about 4 or so inches away. If I opened it any more I'm sure I would get huge drippage and huge overspray too! I do agree it differs with different thinkness solutions if you understand what I mean.

I'm the same as Floridee, I have mine open no more than 20 past... otherwise fat too much solution comes out...

I do agree that it is dependant on what solution you are using as to whether the gun needs turning up or down..

I have mine less than half a turn, about 25 mins to if you get my drift... spray about 6 inches away...
