Any tips on how to paint the underside of the nail in red without getting tonnes of varnish on the skin and sticking?

they do look nice and would like to do black on top and pink underneath

Is it best to underneath first then the top coat of black?

I did the underneath first and the rim of the free edge, then tidied it up with nail fresh..then the black on the nail hth's x

Unless you sculpted in red, and painted them black?

hth's

I did it once using red tips with black L+P on top. Looked good.

hmmm. gonna have to do this later on a friend to try it out

Like the sound of these, will have a play later on my nails  .

I really like the look of these!

Before Mr Louboutin was heard of we called this look the back flip!! It's nothing new as such but I often used gold on the underside which also looked lovely and very classy. It is not too difficult to paint the underside of the tip and any touches on the skincan be easily detailed with a brush and Nail Fresh.

just to add a little to this thread :)

Ive seen this alot even before the article came out, who would of thought a shoe would make this style so famous?

Doing a little search on the Laboutin Manicure I found this:

Exploring New Nail Territories |All Lacquered Up - A Nail Polish Fanatic's Resource

I was just nice to see that CND have a mention in this style too. Not too mention the idea of putting stones underneath instead of 2 toning the nail. But both are great ideas in my book :green:
