I Need advice re split nail

hi everyone, i am still training so wanted to ask your advise before advising my friend. Should l&p or any enhancement product be applied to a nail that has split to the point where it bleeds? This happened to my friend and the nail tech still applied the overlay. Like i said i am still training so i couldnt give her an answer when she asked me about this.

i have done this many a time!!
as long as the nail is cleaned with something like scrubfresh, put a pillow on the ceiling as she will hit it!!
at least its cleaned, then apply an adhesive to the split, to re seal the break, apply pressure gently , usually upawrds then when set apply overlay
much better than leaving a split nail hanging about in the breeze
