I am just back from a lovely break in The Lake District.
I had been going to book to go abroad later in the year, but the same holiday I had last year is about 30% dearer now and the exchange rate for the Euro is putting me off too.
Upshot is, I have rebooked to go back to The Lakes in August.... fingers crossed I get the same great weather I got last week!!!
I think holidaying in the UK is the new black this season lol:lol:

We have just booked out first family holiday abroad....we are going Costa Dorada in Spain and booked a private villa...there are 9 of us going for 1 week and it worked out about £750 per family
Villa was booked via this site...(infact that page is our villa) Holiday villa with swimming pool in L'Ametlla de Mar, Tres Calas - walking, beach/lake nearby, balcony/terrace, air con, TV, DVD
and there are also some great villas on Self catering holiday villas, apartments, cottages, for rental worldwide
Now this villa (and lots of others on both these sites) was £800 for June and £1'250 for July.....we are going on 1st July and so i made them an offer of £1000.....i sent the same offers to lots of villa owners on both sites and 99% came back saying yes. So its worth asking...!!
and the flights are with Ryanair and where about £500 for all 9 of us.
If you can share the cost by going with family or friends then it works out so cheep.

were going to spain in about 2 weeks....luckily we only have to pay for flights as my parents live over there....we found some cheap flights with ryanair...cost 3 of us £130 for 2 weeks altogether! x I think ryanair are doing tickets for £1 excluding tax to various places...youd just have to find cheap accom. x
