Inconsistent White Acrylic

I keep finding when I sculpt (I rarely tip) that once the white acrylic has dried there a sort of faded marks which look like shadows in the white acrylic.

It makes it difficult to file as the marks become more visible when I file the extensions.:irked:

My extensions aren't too thin but I just don't know what it could be.

Could it be my mix ratio??

Please help its driving me mad!!!

are you sculpting with one bead? and are you dabbing the excess liquid out the back of your bead??

Most of the time, but I often have to use another bead to try and cover the fade.

What do you mean by dabbing the excess liquid out of the back of the bead?

I would say its your mix ratio is your bead quite wet? is the second bead drier? if so you may get shadowing/marbeling effects in your white. try picking up the right consistency and size bead - practice on a plastic sleeve and try not to overwork the product.

What do you mean by dabbing the excess liquid out of the back of the bead?

when you pick you bead up, do you pick it up on the side of your brush or on the tip of your brush into a ball? if you pick up from the side of your brush you and dabb your brush down onto a piece of towelling (couch roll) at the back of the bead that will take out any excess liquid and make your bead nice and white, if you use more than one bead then you will have to do that process for every bead you pick up so it is consistant!

I had such a problem at the start of sculpting, and the problem was my bead wasnt big enough, so i had to add another bead, which lead to shadows once i filed the nail.
