Hi hair geeks!
I have just discovered this amazing forum site and i am hooked! :D
I am thinking of doing an indian head massage course, do you think this will impress an employer when looking at my cv/application once completed. ?
I really want to start adding to my basic nvq 2 and thought this was a good place to start along with l'oreal colour keys.
Thanks in advance for any replys. x

HI
am confused.
are you a hair geek or a skin geek?

I am a hairdresser. But just wanting to widen my skills a bit.

My friend and I did an IHM course together - I'm a beauty therapist, she's a hairdresser. She did it because she wanted to incorporate it into the shampooing part of her treatments. If you want to do it then go for it. It will at the very least show your prospective employer that you're willing to learn new skills.

Always a good thing to make the customer feel nice and relaxed! Alot of mine say they love having their hair washed by someone else, i know its used more within beauty but a head massage always goes down a treat before they have a hair cut. So being trained in IHM will surely benefit me.
Every day is a school day of course.
