i've been on the phone to bio sculputre and my insurance company numerous times today. bascially i've completed 2 days training with bio sculputre (gel nails) and my insurance are saying they can't cover me to practice unless i'm qualified - they're brining it to the MD's attention tomorrow but they can't guarantee i'll be covered. has anyone else had this problem. i'm with ABT insurance. x

I dont quite undersatand qualified in manicure before hand or nailenhancement

i am already qualified in manicures and pedicures and insured in this but need to practice my bio sculputure gel nails prior to assessment and can't seem to get covered for this because i'm not YET qualified.

It's good to hear that an insurance company is taking nails seriously for a change!

If your training was for nail enhancements then you are not qualified yet. Just completing 2 days for this is not enough. Are you going back for an assessment?
Maybe this will be acceptable as a qualification then

Have they not got student cover.Companies do usually provide cover for practising students of some kind otherwise how would anyone be able to do it.Maybe try the guild or babtac they ae a bit more expensive but then this is maybe why amongst other things.

Hi, Your post suggests that you haven't yet received a qualification for nail extensions yet? In which case you will not be insured to do them

Thanks Gillian for the advice I'll give the other insurance companies a call. It seems a bit silly not been able to practice when this is what biosculpture need me to do in order to pass my assessment in sept. It's only gel overlays and silk repairs that I need to practice on as I will do sculpting in jul then assessment in sept.
