Itec diploma?

Hi all,

A friend of mine is wanting to get into the beauty industry and is about to sign up for a course accredited by itec called "itec diploma in body treatments"
I don't know anything about this course and was wondering if any of you had heard of it or could advise if she is doing the right thing signing up for it. She will be a rather "mature" student which is why she's chosing this as opposed to the traditional NVQ. She's been told that it is the equivelent of NVQ level 3 which I'm a bit doubtful of as she hasn't done any beauty at all so far!
Any advice for her is welcomed

I really should learn to search before I ask a question though ...although I didn't find anything on this particular course.
