Hiya :) I'm new on this site, its so cool I'm glad I found it. I'm about to open up my new salon and feel I need a refresher on manicures, it's the one thing i'm not to confident in. I was considering doing the Jessica training course, has anyone else done this and found it really improved their skills. And also do you think the products are worth the bit extra money.

To do the Jessica training you will need to open an account with them for their products. I have been using Jessica for years, and before that tried other professional ranges, but personally Jessica have always been my favourite. I like their philosophy of treating natural nails by identifying their 'type' & using specialised formulas to then improve the natural nail, and have always had excellent results in doing this. Personally I would say they are well worth the money.

Can I just agree with Martin, they are fabulous products. I did the manicure and pedicure training with them recently. Was fabulous! Learnt so much and my painting has really improved since! Go for it!

Thanks Martin
can you tell me if the training is worth doing, do they concentrate on polishing rather than all the nail diseases and theory cause this is where I need some tips.

As SallyGirlJoJo (I take it that's not her real name!) says, the training is useful to get to grips with the products & their routine. Jessica polishes are very very different to normal polishes & require a different painting technique, which is one of the things they teach on the course. I think they also do a nail-painting masterclass, well they used to a few years ago anyway!

Thanks Martin I'll look into it.

i would definatly go for a top brand of polish that people have heard of. it's good to do something to improve your skills-but sometimes it's just practice practice practice. experience will give you skills and tips that they can't teach you on a course. I did the jessica training a few years ago and found it very boring and stretched out-they used way too much of every product (if you were to use as much cuticle cream and nail oil as they say-you'e make no money!!!)

I use OPI at the salon I'm at know and prefer the nail envy to jessica base coats, but jessica seem to have a wider range of polishes.

maybe go to a few salons and have a manicure-see what parts you like, don't like and pick and choose your own routine. practice on friends and family and ask them what bits they like and if they'd be happy to pay what you'l be charging at the salon.

ps. seche vite top coat is the best, i will always use that now .

Hi, sorry to bother you but could you inform me of your wholesaler for Jessica polish and training, i currently use OPI and Essie, however would like to invest in Jessica too, thanks>

Jennie.
