Hi everyone

I have a few questions to ask.

If you apply a tip a little bit wonky, how do you remove it and start again? I am using gelbond

If you get a bit of glue over clients fingers, how do you remove it?

Can you use the natural tips without the well that doesn't need blending for essential nails assessments? I have some from CND that are thin and don't require blending. I am not being lazy, as I do and can blend the ones I got in the kit but I get a much nicer result from the well less ones because of the smile line. I am desperate to pass my course and move on to do the gels. Any advice would be great thanks.

Hi everyone

I have a few questions to ask.

If you apply a tip a little bit wonky, how do you remove it and start again? I am using gelbond I don't tremove it at all. I would file it as straight as I could and repair the angles an make them straight with extra product on application. If you must remove it you will have file it or soak it off.

If you get a bit of glue over clients fingers, how do you remove it? Use a soft buffer like the Koala and use it on top of any Adhesive to smooth it.

Hope this helps.

If i applied a tip really wonky i would to soak it off and work on the others...it would take seconds to soak off.

Any adhesive on the skin should be removed immediately.

If I apply a tip wonky then i do as geeg said and straighten up the edges with a file and apply the product where i need it.I suppose it depends on how wonky you have stuck it as to whether you want to remove it or not.
I thought i was back in my foundation for a moment there too with the correction of the glue for adhesive, LOL! You dont make that mistake too often after doing a class with Liza.

Hi Sarah,

You can use different tips with EN but they must have a well as they like to see that you can blend in a tip. If you have mastered this then I would continue to use what you have; as It will then show your skill. You can use other tips I know some girls have used Velocity tips in natural, these are allowed as they also require the skill to blend :)

Hi Sarah.

I think its best to phone Sarah (the sudent support) on the wonky tip question because it does state in the 'reason for points deduction' sheets that a point could be deducted for unstraight nails.

Good questions though and they are things i have wondered myself because my tips are always glueing at a slant. I only use my straightest and bestest ones for the progress cards but it is good to know that i can straighen up a wonky nail if it ever happens on a live client. I didnt know i could file the tip and glue off either. xxx
