Hi I am looking for any advice. I Minxed my toes about an hour ago, all looked good, I used a hairdryer, as I havnt got a lamp yet, but seemed to go well, but now the free edges are looking frayed, as if they are shrinking back, I used a glass file to finish as in Gigi's instructions - can anyone help ? dont want to advertise these looking like this.

the only thing i have read that may assist is did you pull it taught over the free edge and then cool and file ?

Thanks for tying to help. Did let it cool before filing at free edge. Have taken some pics and will try to upload them a bit later, have daughters wanting lifts to various places at moment, so will sort out pics when they are all sorted out.

Here are some pics I took thismorning. They look fantastic until you get close and can see the frayed ends. The left big toe was the first one I did, and I didnt stretch the product accross far enough, so not the best fit, but thats ok on others. Sorry cant get them to upload and have to go the see a client now. Will have go again later.

If the ends are frayed, then they were shredded with too coarse a file.
Did you use the Minx file? All glass files are not the same. Also you should file at high speed removing the excess which sort of melts/seals the end to the nail.

Thanks Gigi. I have also spoken to S2 today, and they suggested I re-heat the worst nail and stretch it tighter, push out all creases and re-file. I did this (used a different glass file) and it seems to be working so far. Maybe it was the file I was using wasnt up to the job.
