Hi

just a quick question one of my mates wants her nails doing but she is due on monday , is it ok for me to still do them ????

There is no reason why you friend shouldn't have her nails done - however, the hospital may wish her to have nothing on her fingernails, as they like to see the colour of the nail bed if she is to have a general anaesthetic.
Some hospitals have different rules - I had to remove my enhancements when I had a knee opertion 2 yrs ago, but when I actually got into the anaesthic room on the day of my op - the lady ask me what I did for a living and I told her i was a nail tech & she wanted to see my nails - I said i'd removed them as asked & she said she could of used my toenails!:irked:

Oh thank you thats what i thought but i wasnt 100% thank you i'll let her know x x

One of my clients was due in to me last week to have her enhancements removed as she was due her baby this week... she also had her toenails painted (I did those 2 two weeks ago)

Well, the baby came on the morning she was due in to me (no excuse for a late cancellation :))....She had the baby naturally, but the placenta had to be removed.
So she still had her 4 week old enhancements on and a 2 week old french paint on her toes.

They never mentioned the enhancements, but they did remove the polish on her toes.

When I had my baby it was the very same... I had a section and still had my gel nails on, but they removed the polish from my toes.

I suppose they were nearer to my toes than my hands if you know what I mean

If your going in for an elective op all nails or nail colour off , if its an emergency they will take toe nail varnish off .. this is due to the first place to show lack of oxygen is the nail beds so very good indicator that things are all well if you have nice pink toes.

but id see no problem with ENHANCMENTS ( JUST FOR YOU geeg ) from the hosp point of you

Hospitals will absolutely not allow FALSE NAILS (which anyone can buy at chemists etc and which are applied with adhesive pads or adhesive).

Many hospitals have no problem with patients wearing ENHANCEMENTS which are permanently bonded to the nail plate. One needs to ask.

Sorry to sound pedantic, but professional nail technicians don't normally do false nails we apply nail enhancements.

Geeg you do make me laugh :)

You are right I hate the words "False Nails" always makes me think of those stick on types thing from Boots or somewhere.

Enhancements sound so much nicer

As a professional I would expect anyone with a professional attitude to use professional terminology. If you feel so offended by being corrected then perhaps you don't have that attitude ...

Sorry but I thought it was you who was asking for the best education in another thread and who was so keen to be taught???

There are many ways of speaking to someone even over the Internet that are professional and polite .. I take your replies as very rude in most of the replies you have given me .

But I'm professional enough to know that the medium that is the Internet can be taken in many ways and fully aware that my take on your replies is not others. And may just be that your a very straight talking.

So ill do my best to ignore how you come across to me personally, and carry on Doing my best to build up what will be my personal and second successful venture.

Judging by your first statement above, I would think it a logical conclusion from your second statement that if others do not feel the same maybe you are the one who is incorrect in your interpretation of my remarks.

I have only written 2-3 posts in reply to you personally, in a thread and all were meant to help you and the amount of validation my comments received from every other person who posted should be enough to show you that what I said was true.

I also suggest that as we are carrying on a personal conversation we take it to private message as per the site rules. Your interpretation of my posts has nothing to do with this thread.
