There was a thread on this a month or so ago, it was someone with their own salon who was looking at new high end services to add.
Sounded good from what I remember.

thanks flower

How did your training go?

It sounds to good to be true - does it work?

I'll be finding out my nearest salon if it can shift my wobbly bits!!

The procedure is new the UK and designed to reduce areas of unwanted fat, for example cellulite, ‘bingo wings’ or pockets of puppy fat around the waist and bust-line.

Unlike other forms of liposuction, such as Smart Lipo, there is no need for anaesthetic as no incision is required – instead, the Lapex BCS machine uses pads which are placed on the desired area of the body for 10-minute sessions, during which two large diode laser paddles are placed on the fatty areas, and two smaller probe lasers are placed over the lymphatic glades.

The low-level laser energy blasts the fat cells, making them change their shape and release water, Glycerol and free fatty acids. This allows the fatty acids to be released into the lymph and removed from the body by the both venous system and then the liver.

This mechanism of action is not “liquefaction of fat” rather, it is the breakdown of the fat cells (also referred to as lypolysis). Trials have found it works on several areas of the body – as well as the waist and stomach, it is also effective on jowls, double chins, cellulite, fat stored around the back and bust line, arms, knees and ankles.

ive copied this from the telegraph website

its amazing to actually see the results tho - i think the boss will deffo get one of these machines tho. if we do get it, we will be the only salon in the northeast with 1.

I read something in a mag about this a while ago. It sounded marvellous although not permanent as surgical lipo is if I understand correctly? I really want lipo on my tummy and back - rest of me is fine! Perhaps I'll investigate and start really saving my pennies! Lx

Off to google it now and try and find a salon near me - it sounds fab.

But I'm not sure I can call the spare tyre around my waist "puppy fat" lol

I know this post is old but I have been looking into this loads and had demos - still dubious - anyone used or got results from it?>

Thanks

The procedure is similar to the electro-lipolysis treatment that is used in the GForm/Galaform machines. Which I have used and work well, although are time consuming as the treatment takes 1 hour to to break down the fat and then 38 minutes to move the waste products out of the body using machine assisted lymphatic drainage. But it works!

The laser version is based on the Meridian BCS Lapex system and is now being marketed as a Strawberry Laser Treatment.

I was interested in the product and had 8 treatments in a salon locally and lost 4 inches from my waist and it also treated the little bit of jowl that I had.

For the treatment to be effective for large areas like the waist, you need to do some form of exercise after the treatment, I used a power plate which is the procedure recommended by the original inventors.

You have to watch what you eat whilst having the treatment of it doesn't work.

HI

Yeah I knew this as have had demos etc - so you think it works?

I just dont know how popular a treatment it will be as I do think some people just want a miracle cure without putting the work in ( ie the exercise after) was the place busy with treatments were you went to have it done?
