Late client (friend) could I have handled this better?

The morning or evening before any of my clients have an appointment I always text them. I say Hi, xxxx You have an appointment @ XXXX time for your nails. If theres any problems let me know .... They always confirm & that way I know Im not left waiting on there doorsteps like a clanger !
