Hello there!
I decided to buy Le chat Nobility gel and give it a go since I heard from fellow geeks that it is a gel of good quality.
I've been using IBD builder gel so far and I am pleased with it but since it's not a soakoff gel I wanted to try something else as well.
5 days after I had the set on my own nails I noticed that the surface of the nails had some strange shadows and when I looked better I noticed that the gel had made cracks all over. Exactly like when the glass cracks. I don't know how to explain better for you to understand, I hope it makes sense.:irked:
Can somebody tell me what I did wrong with the appication?
I followed the directions exactly by the book and so I'm really confused.
And it's not like I do many household chores, otherwise I would think that would be the case.
Please help!

pm Angel fingers (Susan) she's the LeChat educator on here I'm sure she'll be able to sort out your problems:hug:

this seems very strange, nobility is a really flexible product and that means cracks are very unlikely. i have never seen it before.
did you put something else on as a topcoat?

Actually yes Susan I did.
I used Finish Gel by Young Nails in an effort to make it more shiny.
Do you think that this caused the problem?
Thank you for your reply!

yes definately.
the nobility gel is very flexible.
the finish gel is very tough and brittle .
so the movement in the flexible gel has caused the brittle gel to crack.
i bet the cracks only go through the topcoat and not into the nobility.

i would buff off the finish, wipe and apply a clear nobility layer and cure.
if you would like more shine either use the top coat from the lechat powder gel range or finish with a clear polish.

The cracks were in Nobility gel as well, but then again maybe that could happen because I buffed the second layer of Nobility, then placed Finish gel, cured it and so it penetrated Nobility.
But I'll do what you suggested and I hope that it will be ok!
Thank you very much for your reply!
