Leaflet droppng any suggestions?

Hi

I had my leaflets printed last Thursday which have turned out lovely and i am really plaeased with them

The thing is i am unsure where to give them out. i did do a few different streets leaflet dropping however i havent had 1 fone call (gutted)

I really dont want to waste me leaflets as they werent cheap so any suggestions

I went out yesterday to hairdressers only, library and doctors and a few gyms which dont offer beauty treatments

Am really stuck now where else to put them a really want to get them out in time for the xmas parties and hopefully get sum clients

All advice is appreciated

Also i offer Princess Parties so advice where to hand these out is also greatly appriciated

post offices, local supermarkets, go to the little villages if you have any near by and put some in their local shops and post offices. Give some to your regulars if you have any and kindly ask them to give them out and put some at work and in return you will offer them 10% off 'this is if you can'. I didn't get much from flyers but that's in my area not sure about anywhere else. good luck and i am sure if i have missed a few out people will help,

our salon just put out 2000 of them, we included hotels and caravan parks too.

we had an open day with and asked two small local businesses if they would like to come to the salon and sell their bits and bobs.
we had beauty demos etc.

also on the flyer we put a free cut n blow dry if you remomend a freind., something free always works!

we had a very busy day and it worked , getting new clients .

I do find that if you go door to door, most people are in sat and sunday mornings and if you post them during the week, they can get accidently picked up with other flyers and free newspapers and then get chucked away.

I dont know if this will be of interest to you but heres what i do.
I get business cards from vista print , 250 for around £3. I post all of these through the doors instead of wasting my leaflets. I put my website address on there so people can look at my prices and if they book in i will give them a price list/leaflet. I usually leave them 5 so that they can give some to their friends and offer them a free file and polish if i get 3 back.
There have been many times that i have just got 1 client from my drop of 250 cards but for £3 i dont really lose much. I have also found that people save my details for a special occasion. So i could get something back from a drop in 3 months time.
