hi only just found out how to do this: here goes...

i need your help guys, ive been using creative l&p and gel for the last two years. i got to the point where a year in i hard no lifing (yippee).

but i have recently moved to a salon who uses ibd gel. i get on fine with the gel. but recently i asked if we could get the acrylic in too, so i didnt lose my skill.

but have had lifing problems, 1 client picks her lifting. which is annoying but she should'nt have lifting to pick ( if you catch my drift)

client two is a polish lady who is a cleaner, she came to me with nss acrylic nails (long) so i filed the profile and length down cos they were like door wedges and did an infill. (she swears she waers gloves etc)

three days later she had lifting, (i couldnt sort them out till a week later cos the salon was busy) so i took all the lifting off and refilled again. i made sure i didnt use too much primer or dehydrater, good prep, and kept the cuticle and free edges thin. but she has come back again with more lifting!!!!

dont know what else to do, its annoying, frustrating and soul destroying as i didnt get it with creative.

sorry i have rabbited on

kels xx

how frustrating is that,
cant you ask the boss if they could get some creative products as you trained with them and find them a better product as your finding the current system isn't doing well and getting clients coming back in and complaining, it will proberly save you time and money in the long run,
i have my creative conversion on Monday and i cant wait!

Hi,
I had the same problem at the salon where I work! They had both IBD l&p and gel. I was always getting lifting problems with this product, (never with CND) but the salon didnt want to pay out for the good stuff!
Until one day, one of the very good and much loved regulars started complaining about the products and they quickly made a CND order the very next day!!
I suppose you just have to find a way to make them realise that you get what you pay for!

it would be wise to do a conversion course when you are using a new product as each brand has different application techniques.
however if you are happy with creative it would probably work out less expensive and less problematic to use creative in the salon if your employer agrees.

thanks guys, i havent done a conversion course in creative yet!, thats just always what my salons have used. ive looked into the creative conversion courses and hope to do it some when in may.

i ran the rep today: her answer was my ratio could be too wet or the fact my client has been used to her nails being so strong and thick and inflexable, that she is heavy handed and that can lead to the ibd lifing cos it is flexable. also that the nss acrylic is to thick and rough for the ibd to get a good bond. (sounded abit funny to me as i put creative over nss acrylic no probs?!)

so i ran my client and said her options were change to ibd (new set) but had to be aware to not be heavy hand as it could lead to lifting or snapping aross the stress area. or stick with nss acrylic.

cos she was polish it was hard to explain, she said she liked the nss acrlic but liked the fact i didnt use the drill. so she is stuck on what to do.

xx thanks for your help guys xx
