I think it is because I am scared to get product onto the skin and my finishing off especially around the eponychium is messy I have to say. When I am working with L&P on the nail trainer my edges are messy and so I know I'll be scared to real live people as I'll be scared of getting product on their skin and then I know it will cause lifting as I won't get a nice edge. When I go back to my training at CND I am going to bring this up with my trainer but can anyone give me any tips on applying around the edges with both L&P and polish.

When applying L&P, it is all down to product control and practice practice practice. Try not to apply too thick either as this will cause lifting.

Re applying polish, the better finish to your L&P the smoother the polish will go on. Have a look at Geeg's tutorial on polishing.

Don't fret too much - we all experience these frustrations and we only improve with practice. Keep up the good work xx

Great advice!! Have a look at all the tutorials on this site, application, prep etc!

I also got myself a copy of Nail Class by Gigi Rouse (Geeg), its invaluable, I use it as much as when I first trained, almost 2 years ago! xxxx

Will be being this book definately when I return this month for Day 4 of my L&P course - I kept looking at it to buy on Day 1, 2 and 3 - stupid of me not to buy it then!

Practice practice practice - I will continue to practice. I have already had to get some more tips as running out of the ones in my training kit!

Dont waste your good CND tips on practice, but some el cheapo's from ebay I got 1000 for £3 inc P&P from China! Im on my 4th load of tips!
