microwavable cream wax solution needed

Hi

I am newly qualified beauty therapist who is starting out as a mobile therapist. I am desperately trying to find an effective professional cream warm wax that i can use in the clients home. A normal wax heater takes too long so can anyone recommend a really good microwavable wax?? Any help greatly appreciated

What you need to do is put your wax heater on and make sure the wax is at working temperature BEFORE you leave for your clients house.Then when you arrive you plug in immediately and set up.It will remain at the correct temperature.You need to have a wax pot with a lid,place it in a box and surround it with towels in an upright position so it doesn't topple over.

I used to do mobile work many moons ago and never had a spillage or a problem with the wax temp not being correct.HTH

I agree with this.

I used to do mobile years ago and I use the ABC tube wax which is ideal for mobile as it can't be spilt, again as Babs advised if the wax is pre heated before you leave the house you shouldn't have a problem. ABC used to do an adaptor to that could be used in the car to keep the heater warm.

my friend microwaved wax once and her client called her the day after saying her legs looked like she had severe sunburn.

Ive got a can inverter that i plug into my car. It heats it on the way. You can buy a wax that you microwave but its rubbish x

It's vertually impossible to get it to the right temp in the microwave then theres nothing to keep it warm so it's just rubbish!

I microwave babyliss cream wax and its fine! I do it in either 30 sec or min stages as microwaves tend to differ and you can keep check on it not getting over hot. I also make sure my heater has been n for a while and then that keeps it at the right temp. Sometimes if you are out all day but not always waxing before you have no choice but to heat it in microwaves!

Wax and Microwave ... two words in the same sentance that just scare me!!

A microwave can cause hotspots in the wax so even if you test the temperature of the wax on your wrist you may come across a bit that will burn your client! A good wax heater with a lid, or leave the lid on your pot and used the way described above will be fine. I did mobile for 10 years and never had a problem. Take your wax pot in first and plug it in and by the time you have set up your wax will be warm enough around the edges to get going. You can always start with the smaller area bits to begin with where you only need a little wax on your spatula, i.e. eyebrows, underarms, bikini etc.

I think I would be scared to use wax directly heated from the microwave tbh.Microwaves create hotspots,think about the dangers of warming baby bottles of milk...it's a big no no.

I use a microwave to melt my wax(sorry Foz,lol) but I do so the night before or if I have no waxing afterwards,never ever does it come out of a microwave then applied to a clients skin.

I knew a client about 6 years ago who came to the salon and she wanted a half leg wax,anyway,she took her clothes off and she had the most horrendous burn on the thigh,she told me it was from a microwave wax that she had used on herself.I kid you not it was the worst burn I have seen in my life,she said it melted her skin away and then she had the horrendous task of having to get the wax off...........This was caused by a hot spot.

What you need to try is Caron wax as it is the ONLY wax on the market today that is microwavable, it comes in microwavable friendly pots no down time in moving from client to client so you can fit more clients in couldn't live without it, any other wax that says it is microwavable isn't the composition is changed, however Caron have specially formulated wax in both strip and hard wax that is fully microwavable.They also have cream but ever different wax that they do they do microwavable, they also do self heating paraffin packs for hands and feet their range is extensive and and very mobile therapist friendly as well as salon friendly

What is the appliance that you are referring to and where did you get it please? I thought that they only did it for roller waxing? It just takes ages to heat up when I get somewhere otherwise but that could be a good deal!
