Hi,
I have had my minx lamp a while but haven't done many minx nails with it as I haven't advertised it much but I went to use it on a client and it now doesn't work. I have checked it all over and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong that I can see so I rang sweet squared and they say it could be the bulb gone. I'm a bit confused as I really have't used it much for the bulb to go that quickly?? How long should they last? I can't get a new one sent out as I have had it too long and am reluctant to buy a new one.

Has anyone else had problems??

It's more tha likely the bulb I'd guess.

My Minx lamp is permanently attached to my desk at the side, almost against the wall - there have been the odd time I have moved something, caught my lamp & bumped it against the wall - this could easily cause the fibres in the bulb to go.
Also - check the bulb is screwed in tighly - it may have worked itself loose?
xx

Put another type of bulb in the lamp to see if the lamp itself is working.

S2 have had next to zero complaints about the lamps which are made by the Daylight company and are very good quality.

Frankly your questions should be taken to Sweet Squared and not in my opinion posed on the main forum here on this site. I'm sure if your problem was a universal one we would have heard allot more about it before now. If there had been many complaints about the lamps, S2 would have told you so and would not be selling them. Either check it out yourself or get an electrician to do so and then let's see what is what.
