OMG This morning have just shown zoe pocock doing minx using a hairdryer, and filing incorrectly.

Maybe you should phone them and say so - hopefully they can broadcast an apology tomorrow if so. That is a bit stupid though - having someone use incorrect techniques on the telly!

I have emailed them as I was disgusted, showing that vt of applying them with a hairdryer is like telling joe public to go out and do their own nails with minx using a hairdryer.
I am sooooooooooo angry.
I have also just rung in she said that she will pass on my comments to the editor, I said that they were giving out misguided info to the general public. She said that they cant stop the show but should mention it tomorrow.

I have just checked Ebay before writing my reply, I only looked into one seller I will check for more in a minute........I thought Ebay had stopped selling Minx.

Will everyone PLEASE calm down and look at this in the way that will do you good!

I didn't know Zoe was going to be on This Morning BUT - am I pi88ed ofF she used a hair dryer or didn't file correctly (I am not sure what you guys saw)... No - I am not naffed off at all and here is why!!

She has just done Minx, the industry and YOU guys a good turn. She has just bought Minx to the attention of millions of viewers and told them that MINX is out there. These people may have loved it that much that they just might decide to google Minx and find YOU if they can't afford the Daniel Galvin Salon in London.

The general public DO NOT see what you professionals see - they simply don't. There was a time when I was EXACTLY like you guys... in an up roar - sending emails, calling people... and for what? They will do NOTHING and I mean NOTHING about your calls Jen... they see it as 'if you're lucky enough to be on This Morning shut up and suck it up and enjoy your 2 minutes of fame'...

This could get and bring people to your door. Stop worrying about filing techniques and make sure yours are always right.

Zoe if you are reading... thank you for getting it out there from all of us. Also as an aside... when doing things like GMTV / This Morning etc... they give you no time, no room and they never say the right things... but it's ALL GOOD PR for us and and the industry even if it's not a perfect professional job.

Turn it around, be positive because when S2 start getting calls of 'where can I get my nails Minxed' you can be sure we will be sending them to YOU GUYS!!:!:

Ive just emailed This morning too!! I am also disgusted that anyone in our profession can do this, never have I thought about making an exta £ by selling Minx to the general public, I've been asked at Minx Parties to sell an extra sheet when the hostess couldnt make up her mind about a design so she could apply them herself, she got a stern NO!!

Thanks for that Samantha, I totally see the plus side. It just really irked me for all the incorrect info that they were giving about the minx.
If it brings clients my way who am I to grumble?
I just dont like the unprofessionalism of it, and with ebay still selling minx there will be loads more demand.

Your right Samantha...It just bothers me that with the whole world and its sister now using Ebay so much more....it would be a case of those watching that thinking "i wonder if they have those on ebay"...doing a seach...finding them and having a go at home....

1)..meaning the Minx distributors are loosing out

and

2) we have the same thing as with nail enhancements, they mess it up and say..."Minx are rubbish" rather than "I did Minx myself and did it wrong"

I didn't see it but I just hope she mentioned that this a professional system that should be carried out by proffesionals...and not a DIY thing.

..and Jen I seriously don't like the lame-o's who sell on Fleabay either... the general public don't know what they are doing and the prices are stupid... they are making nothing and bringing down a great product.

But there will always be fleabay sellers trying to make a buck. Let it go and concentrate on your busineses.

As to those saying they are 'disgusted' bla bla... as I say, look at this in the real world and see how these 2 mins of fame can actually help your businesses. Those working TV conditions are not good and you can never say what you really want to say, It's just the way it is on TV.

So make sure that you professionals remain true to that - the general public don't care as long as they get the nails they want. 95% of our customers love knowing that we know it all but most are not bothered providing they get the service they asked for.

Concentrate on your businesses and turn the TV thing into a positive. Also would someone mind PM'ing me about what was so terrible about what was seen on This Morning or are we all going abit over board???:lol::smack:

i ranted on jens f book page earlier but ..., sam just made me realise something ... i was yabbering on to a client last night about a programme and there was a girl on it that was royal pain in the rear ... and she pointed out "yep but she got it right because you remember her " so sometimes bad publicity can end up being good !!! look at jordan , lol
