I did a set of Minx nails last night and I seemed to take me ages.

I did file, cuticle away, buff, scrubfresh, Minx.

I think I’m taking too long on file and cuticle away. Then it’s taking me ages to size the Minx. Applying the Minx and filing off the excess doesn’t seem to take too long.

Can anyone tell me a breakdown of their timings for Minx manicure and pedicure please?

It takes me around 1 hour, I can't do it any quicker I wish I could! Following same procedure, it is very fiddly but love the end result!!

I can usually do feet in about 20-30 minutes.

I started by doing feet in 45 mins then I started clipping the toe nails after applying the Minx which gives it a nice clean line and secure fit at the free edge, it also reduced my time down to 25-30 mins.

Catsaremad and Klassy Klaws that is so quick. How long does it take you guys for fingers?

I'm going to practice prep on my hubby tonight. Doing a friends lashes tomorrow night so I'll practice prep on her too.

It took me about an hour and 15 last night. Going to have to work on speed. I've got a couple of Minx Pedi's booked on a couple of weeks and I think it's going to get busier. The girl and her mum last night couldn't stop talking about it.

When I had mine applied at a salon, it took about 30 minutes. The cuticle work only consisted of buffing the nail over, though.

They didn't do any cuticle work? Did they not push back the eponichium or remove cuticle from the nail plate? How did they last?

Does anyone else do that?

Hi chick I do the same as klassy Klaws I clip the free edge as opposed to filing. I have gotten quite good at seeing by eye what will fit on the toes.

I will always assess the toes first to see how much work is required. If the eponychiums are really bad iits straight on with the cuticle away, if they are not to bad I will do a dry prep.

buff over the toes to remove any ridges, scrubfresh, minx on, cut off excess, and when all on clip. and away they go !

I don't do hands very often, probably takes me a bit longer @ 40 minutes.

I very rarely do fingers I think I have only dome about 4 sets since I started I takes me about 30 mins can take longer it depends how much shaping I need to do.

I'll try as you 2 do and clip the toes with Minx on. I clipped my own toes with Minx on when they'd grown and the finish was nice and neat.

With dry prep do you push back the eponichium at all? I've never done a dry prep. I've always used some form of cuticle remover.

I only do a wet prep if they are paying for a pedicure treatment.
With a dry prep a try and remove as much of the true cuticle as I can, I don't really push the eponyicum just try and make it look even hope that makes sense

That makes sense but I have one more question. probably obvious but do you use any product when doing the dry prep? Are you straight onto the nail with your cuticle pusher or other metal tool?

I don't use any products just my tool then I give it a really good scrub with scrubfresh

Lol, I know. It's just different.

I'll give it a go. If it makes the service quicker and doesn't compromise on quality then I'm all for it.

Hi. They didn't do any cuticle work, push anything back or remove any true cuticle. It was a cnd salon, they've been on since the first week in January and they've lasted extremely well. I am only thinking of having them done again fairly soon because they're growing out. I paid £15 for the service. :)

Hi

when you say you clip the toes to get that clean finish .. Do you mean you clip the toe nails with the minx on or clip the excess minx???

Were these on your fingernails or toenails?

Your cuticles must have been nice and tidy already.
