Hi there,

I damaged my nail back in the summer and have done so well to keep it, however it came off this morning! I'm gutted as only half of a new nail has grown underneath and now my toe looks so ugly. It is too short to paint, and as we have Christmas coming up (parties) would anyone be able to suggest if a nail extension would be a good idea or do you think I should just leave it be (and wear tights!!)? Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

a good nail tech will be able to sculpt an extension if there is some new nail growth, although you will want to keep it as short as possible until it grows out more. good luck:)

Hi,
This happened to me just weeks before my summer holiday when I was going to be wearing flip flops every day!!
I prepped my wee half a nail and then sculpted on an enhancement, then put my holiday enamel on, and had no problems with it at all.
Fingers crossed my toe is 3/4 grown in now and I think I will get away with it during Christmas party season.

A painted enhancement would be my reccomendation too,
I lost My toenail last year,
Here are before and after pictures, as It had begun to grow back, and the enhancement I made for it...

I just made the "toenail" from liquid and powder, sculptured around a c curve stick...buffed smooth, and then applied with a surgical grade resin,
And painted....
I made spares too lol...But each lasted for quite a while...

Hmmm yes, I seem to remember that Emmsy. Wasn't it that you got very angry about something and kicked something? Then very much regretted it. LOL xx

Yes, the drawer in my bed base wouldn't open, so I tried to help it along ...WITH MY FOOT !!! :o

I make my own toenails all the time. I had 2 foot ops a few years ago and since then the nail never seems to be attached to the nail bed. I use BRISA gel and sculpt. Each one last for months and months.
