hi

I was wondering if anyone could help, in July I am doing some nail art for some 12 year olds as a favor to the school as my mum works there. They are having a prom because they are all going up to secondary school. Obviously they are too young to have extensions so it will be on natural nails which will proberbly be quiet short. Does anyone have any ideas what i can do on short nails because all my designs are for longer nails.

I seem to have asked a lot of questions lately sorry about that but thanks for all your help.

xx

One word .................MINX

MINX are perfect for kids and also quick, easy and FUN and of course the designs are perfect.

Many technicians are doing MINX parties.

If you want to see them and how they are done, then go to www.sweetsquared.com and click on MINX to see a video demonstration.

A moon manicure could look good on short nails, and is the sort of thing some celebs have Deeta von Teese for one....here is a link to what I mean.....Behind The Chair - Collections

Or just basic nail art, flicks and the like, diamontes are always popular or flower/heart/star glitter shapes on enamel and topcoated over. HTH

For the moon manicure would i paint the colour at the bottom bit first and then add the rest of the colour for the top bit or paint the whole nail and then paint the bottom bit, ive never done it before so i'm a bit confused xx

The other popular way of doing this, so I am told, is the leave the moon nude! I think Gwen Stefani had her nails like this for a while with red polish on the main part of the nail and a half moon left nude.
As to how it's done...like anything else give both ways you mention a shot and see which one is easier for you. (I would go with your first way)

There's always the stickers/diamontes idea though, cheap as chips and fast to do with max effect.
