Hi there,

Very new to all this and have been wondering through all your threads with awe!!
I have just completed a Gel Course, and would really love to get into Nail Art.
I just wondered, having looked at a few of your galleries, are most of you using acrylic to create these masterpieces.:green:
I am about to embark on an Acrylics course too, but wondered if it really mattered which you used to get these most amazing and creative finishes??
Thanks in Advance
Angie

I am new to nail art, I use acrylic at the moment until I learn more.

you can still do a whole lot of imaginative stuff with gel, so dont hold back.

check out my web and blog for some tutorials and examples.

Ok dokey, will do thanks.....:green:

If you really want to dive into nailart i would say that acrylic is far easier and diverse to do specifick nailart with. Gel is harder to control and to do detailed work with and you will have to freeze cure it every time between steps to keep it in place.

Ok, you can do a lot of nailart with gel aswel but if you want to start doing versatile art and real 3d work like flowers etc... it's not possible with gel.
There are thick gels on the market to create something 3D like art but it will never look as good.

I defenitly don't want to put gel in a bad daylight since it is great for enhancements and overlays but i really do see a limitation in its capacities for artwork.

Just my opinion
