Hi All!

I'd like to become a nail tech - can anyone point me in the right direction?

I live on the Gold Coast (Australia) and would like to do a nail course after work, or a 2 week course I can do in my holidays as I need to keep working to pay for the course (as well as for living!) :)
Thank you!

Do you have any certificates or qualifications in anything else?

I hate to say it but a proper course goes longer than 2 weeks.
There are a few colleges in Brisbane.
You could check out Professional Beauty College of Australia that might give you some idea of what's involved.

Most places will offer part time study or night classes. Do the ring around and start getting information packs.

:lol:Hi!! Im with you there, i hope you can find a nail course, its definatly worth doing if your really interested in nails. Ive been a nail tech and beauty therapist for ten years and love it! Ive no idea what courses run in aus?

East Coast Nail Company is based on the Gold Coast

Try contacting your local Tafe - my local tafe (Sunshine Coast) does night classes 2 nights a week which runs for about 16 weeks.

Give Zelma at Kazel at call. Just look up Kazel in the yellow pages. I did my spray tan, tinting, waxing through there.

Check out Amanda Niarhos at Finelines Salon( the do training) its between Goldcoast and Brisbane.

Hi there you can also try pacific nail & beauty who distribute CND products from queensland.

But is it a CND certificate?

I shouldnt think so ..

Good luck with your training and let us know what you decide and how you get on!!

I agree Carl. we are APFA approved and the Certificate is most definatley CND for Beginners. We are privately owned by Pacific Nail & Beauty in QLD but are the sole distributors for WA and have a CND Training school for the past 20 years here in Perth.
I too wish you luck with your course.
