Hi all, I am new here :) and am on a nail technician course at college, we are only on manicures atm, within our kit from ellisons we have nail varnish's and myself and a number of other students are finding them very thick and do not go on the nail very well, most of the top coats have air bubbles in them, i am wondering what you guys use?
thanks in advance

I have tried quite a few polishes and whilst at college myself I brought a few OPI ones as they were available in my local Sallys and i believe them to be a top range product customers will equate as a professional high end range.

However knowing what i do know I would advise buying the new range from Creative. Im unsure if as a student you could purchase these but they are truely great polishes that are very easy to apply which is a great help when learning.

They are great for a million other reasons too but application is superb.

Good luck!

I like OPI, CND and just discovered Leighton Denny's polishes, which I also find superb.

Good luck with the course, :green:

I love china glaze and CND and Misa.

I usually wait for the vat free days at Sally's and go stock up on OPI & China Glaze :)

it's sad if you have to learn the technique with a thick polish and a bubbly top coat :S

I obviously work with OPI and when needed I pick out my nail lacquer Thinner and it works miracles on THIN polishes.

for the bubbles in top coat, I usually buy a new one :|

I purchased a few OPI polishes from Sally's whilst I was still at college, and thought they were good........until I tried CND new effects range! There's absolutely no comparison, they go on really easily, dry quickly, come in a fab range of colours and the new effects are great. I'd recommend these, you can contact sweet squared to purchase although you will need to provide a copy of your qualification, and I'm pretty sure Ellison's sell this range too.

Remember, don't shake the bottle, this will cause bubbles. Roll it in your hands instead. However, most of your problems are probably because of an inferior polish. x

Why not check out websites, ring the suppliers and ask for a sample, explaining that you are looking for range.....
