Hello....I have searched the threads and cannot find anything on this so here goes....

I have recently bought two bright new colours (from a high street store...a well known brand) for me to use in commercial salon at my college, I decided to try them out on myself first.
I am baffled...Everytime I've used them, an hour or so later I have loads of tiny bubbles all over the polish, on some nails more than others.
I changed my top coat thinking this could be why but no, when I woke up this morning it was the same again!
I'v been using nail hardener as a base coat while I'v used them so I'm now wondering if this is why? Or wether I'm applying the polish too thick or not letting it dry enough inbetween coats? I don't want to use them on paying clients if this is going to happen.
I don't know whats causing it...any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance :)

Does the college not recommend a professional polish range?

Are you shaking the bottle?

Are you getting oil on the nails, causing contamination?

The possibilities are endless, I would use one system for base, polish & top, then at least you know that they will compliment each other.

Have a word with your tutor x

They are all the same brand, base, polish, topcoat.
I'm going to get a letter from my college when I go back tomorrow so I can get a card for my local beauty wholesalers and buy a professional range.
We mainly use Attitude at college, I'm will ask tomorrow..

Thanks :)

more than likely it's a combination of a few things.........

for one .... the base coat, try and use just a base coat (no boosters), no nuthing in it

it's probably not the polish (aint that great)?

fast dry topcoats can be an issue as these can have ingredients that dry a little too fast and actually "shrink" the topcoat over the polish.

Heat dryers such as heated fans can expediate the drying process a little too fast and make the topcoat dry faster than the polish itself.

You really should use a range that is compatibale and proven, rather than a base from one range, a polich from another and a topcoat from yet another range.....

You are just asking for trouble to be mixing things up so much, so PLEASE......... don't blame it on a sunshine, dont blame it on a moonlight, don't blame it on a goodtime ...........
blame it on a boogie

don't blame it on a basecoat, don't blame it on a polish. don't blame it on a topcoat, blame it on a combination  i think you get my drift

I just can't, I just can't, I just can't control my fingers....................YEAH, WOOO HAAA

Anne mentioned shaking, but I'm going to expand on that, whether it might be the cause here or not. It's something you shouldn't do. It allows air bubbles to get into the polish, and also may shatter the bottle because the little metal ball hits off the glass. Instead, roll the bottle between your hands to allow the polish to mix properly.
