Oops forgot to ask on my last post...

To get a bit more practice in I just bought the Nail Trainer off Ebay second hand, but as it's second hand I have no instructions or anything! Is it just straightforward, or is there anything I need to know? Do I do exactly the same thing as I would do on a real client, and use the same products? Am I OK to use the same glue/primer etc on the Nail Trainer?

Thanks guys!

Which home learn diploma course is it that you are doing ?

Hi

I use just the same glue as I would on a ' real client ' and havent had any problems the tips stick fine. Just use it as if you were putting enhancements on a real client.

The only issue I have is getting the sculpting forms to stay on they dont stick but some of the girls use blue tac or something like that to help with this.

You can buy replacement nail beds for them from ebay.

Good luck with it

Hi guys

Thanks for that!

Louby - I am doing the Stonebridge Nail Tech Diploma Course, and have just done a course in Liverpool in an academy for practical help with acrylics x

Hi

The nail trainer is quite easy to use so you shouldn't have any problems there.

Regarding products, I think you need special glue for tips and a special primer which are for the nail trainer only. I am doing the essential nails course and you get these with the course but you can also buy them from Essential nails. I think the main reason for them not being full strength is because it may melt the removable 'nail' as they are plastic. I would also be careful if using anything like scrub fresh or things that contain acetone as these will also melt the nails.

Like you I also bought my hand second hand  and found that the silicone finger tips were quite damaged, you can also get new finger tips from esential nails. I may be wrong but I think you can get an instruction book if you need it from EN, although I would get your hand first and see if you need it.

Its used in the same way you would on a client hun.... dont worry about the acentone ass you wouldnt use this on a client.... unless removing.... and you dont need to do that on a trainer as the tips just pop off. scrub fresh is fine to as it wont melt the tips . the essentail nail website has lots of info and products you can buy hun enjoy :) xx
