Nails v Hair, Charging

Hi

I am really needing some help.

About 6 weeks ago a qualified as a Nail Tec.
I have been practising on my mum, sister and niece, (Not charging).
I have put flyers up to get some clients and started Charging £10.00.

This is the help i need.

My Cousin is a qualified hair dresser, when she does my hair i buy my own producuts, i,e bleach, dye ect, and give her £20 for doing it, as she says that what she charges family.

When i see her, she keeps saying you can do my nails,but i know that she wont give me a Penny.

Am i being picky, or what are your thoughts on this.

Should i tell her that i will charge or not.

Why do you think she won't pay you ?

I would either charge her or suggest a treatment swap so you do her nails for free and she does your hair. If she is self employed herself then surely she wouldn't expect you to do the treatment for free. If so then I would say no way !!
