just a really random one really just wondering if you could use nail varnish for art on the nail or even just the tip rather than gel colors??

Yes of course and if the nail polish and art is done over gel or L&P it lasts so much longer than if it's done on a natural nail.
Art done with a polish is sometimes a better option, as you can change it as often as you like.
