I'm planning to open a nail bar but I don't have a clue what things I have to consider, and I don't want to go ahead with the lease until I have all the facts.

If anybody could let me know what the main things are I need to do to make my business legit it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kim,
There is help for you from places like business link, they should be able to advise you on business plans and employment etc. And phoning your local tax office will get you started with registering for tax.
I would speak to an accountant about what type of business/company to set up.
Make a business plan which need to contain your costs and wage etc.
The list is endless but your basic costs will be
Set up, solicitors fees if you take on lease, Lease, rates, gas/elec, water, phone, insurance ( buildings/contents/liability) tax, vat, wages, music licences, website, printing, products. May have missed some!!!
You sometimes need fire regulation checks too
Banks can often be a help to I have a good business advisor at mine.
Hope that's of help
Josie x
