i would do a full search on here, grab your pen and paper and get looking and take notes.

we have a awful lot of information on here that will help you make your decision.

i have never used the earlex machine however i have heard about them from technicians that i have trained that have had to replace them within months of starting out in the industry. so be careful with your decision. the price may be good but the machine may not be so watch out.

a resonable prices machine is the mini mobile kit which was made for the industry whereas earlex isnt. check out wow factor for more information.

if you need any further help pm me and will try and help as best i can

good luck

make sure that you get proper accredited training that way you will be insured

also make sure what pre and after sales care you will recieve

these are vital points that you need to know before purchasing any machine

I have had the earlex system and found that it is more suitable for spraying the fence,
you can not get it to spray a fine mist, it kicks outs loads of solution so you waste more than you apply,
mine is sat stocking up dust in a cupboard because i would not have the heart to sell it on to any one as it is that bad,
i stopped using the earlex and got the salon pro kit from Tantrick, it is a fantastic kit and i have not looked back since using this,
i have used all of the kits from tantrick with been one of their trainers and i have to say they are all great and do the job of a spray tan effortlessly hth

I've seen Earlex being discussed a couple of times on the site so just adding my 2cents worth for anyone considering one. I've had one before(bought it when I was first starting out), the main attraction for me was price. As I was newly trained and oblivious to what makes a good/bad unit I didn't want to risk spending hundreds on a system that would turn out to be rubbish, the sheer volume of companies supplying systems made it all the more confusing. So... the earlex ain't pretty, there's lots of overspray (which results in wasted product), it's more difficult to use(harder to control spray evenly than with a unit designed specifically for tanning), and the motor burns out pretty quickly. On the plus side it's cheap, so if you get easily bored and give up the tanning you won't have lost a fortune. And if you can manage to spray a good tan with a machine designed for painting fences then you know you're on your way to becoming a pro LOL!Kind of like learning to drive without power-steering!!

When you are starting off you always try to go for the best deal, which we all do, and there is nothing wrong with saving money.

Over the years I have learnt that buying the cheapest (whatever range or product it is) has proven to be more expensive because either the products dont work so well or break down quicker, sometimes the customer service may not be as good and in the end I have found that I am buying the right product after all so I could have saved my money by buying the right product at the beginning....but then you learn from mistakes :O)) and unfortunately you get what you pay for.

With a machine that you intend to make a living of or at least earn some money you want to have a look around salongeek and other internet sites to make sure that you are getting the right machine for your business and for the use you are intending it for (mobile or salon?). There is quite a few threads on different spraytanning machines, training and customer support etc so you should find a lot of info and if you then ring the companies you will get a good feel of what is right for you :)

Wise words!Couldn't agree more hun x

welcome to salon geek.

Most of the brands out there use the same machine and whilst training is of course an important factor in deciding whom you go with lets try ad look to see if we can help you with your posted question fully.

Earlex is a very good make however previously it has had a bit of a poreputation on being a DIY job and best suited to spraytaning fences...you can get specific needles which make them more suitable for spray tans but that is a fair bit of faffing around.

Earlex have just launched a new machine specifically for the spraytan market the HV5008 and is basically modelled on the T200 minimist machine...

We have tested this machine and have to say its impressive and at least as good as the T200 if not slightly better ....unfortunatley just now there is limited availability as its just been launched.

The other aspect is that the machine hasn't as yet had the chance to be proven to be robust and reliable in the market place...I am confident however that it will in fact prove to be a good machine.

Ok so now to look at the bigger picture.

What are your plans..are you looking to do mobile ,salon based or a combination of both.

If mobile and salon based and if you dont anticipate an initial high volume of spray tans being done consecutively then I would highly recommend the T200 which has been pr oven to be a reliable and robust machine.

If you are looking at being salon based and anticipate a high traffic volume then I would recommend you look at spending more on a full salon system which will pay dividends in the longer term.
Hoping this helps and good luck with your new venture:hug:
