Ruth has just finished my website and it's gone live. I'm really pleased with it but would still appreciate some feedback from other geeks!
Thanks again Ruth btw!

Thanks Natalya :)

Carl (Extensionize) needs credit for the logo too though lol!

Hi,
I'm no expert but I love it, well done Ruth!!
Very welcoming and easy to navigate.
One teeny weeny thing I noticed, on your Tanning parties description the "y" has been missed off party.
but well done and good luck

Thanks Heather :)

The "y" is now back where it should be on "party" - thanks for spotting that!

Thanks Ruth for fixing the tanning party typo!

Thanks Carl for my logo - he has done so much - including my brochure, he's just fab too.

My next flyers will definitely have my website details on - it looks so lush!

Really nice website. It's very pretty and easy to use.

Nice, clean and fresh! Fab photo of you too!

Ta! :) My pleasure- and a great job from Ruth again.

Just thought of an idea (and its an idea other people might want to pinch)!

I sent your brochure/trifold over to you as a PDF- so why dont you have that as a download from the website?

People can either have them sat on the PC at home (VERY useful for reminding them about you) or they can print it out themselves....saves on printing! They're read-only as well, so people can't mess about with them either.

That's a great idea Carl! I'll ask Natalya if she would like me to do that, and which page she'd like the link adding to.

(incidentally, it *is* possible to edit PDF documents using Open Office 3, with varying levels of success - some that I have tried editing have ended up losing their backgrounds and whatnot)...

These are flattened images- theres no text to actually edit- they'd have a job! :)

More generally, I think its a really good idea to offer a downloadable price list for people- even if you've not had it professionally done- not sure if you can do it with the "freebie" websites though...

Fabaroonie,lucky you  .

LOL, I should have checked! I guess there are many ways of generating a PDF; I've created some in the past with Open Office Draw which contain text with embedded fonts as well as actual images - but if Natalya's PDF just consists of actual flattened images then yes, it would certainly be a mission to try and edit the text in that!

I also have a cunning plan for auto-generating PDF price lists on the fly in the future (for simple cases of course - they probably wouldn't look anywhere near as good as a properly designed one lol)...

Love it, very easy to navigate.

Damn i wish i lived nearer you. Good prices, i'd love to have the calgel done x

The PDF price list has been added as a link on the treatments page now. I tweaked it a bit in Open Office 3 to put both pages into a single PDF and reduce the file size down.

Looks good! I like the testimonial section too, good idea :)

It's also possible for clients visiting the website to leave their own testimonials too - at which point the site owner will receive an email asking them to log on and approve the testimonial (this is so that it's not possible for people to leave spam messages or derogatory comments on the testimonials page - as these could then be deleted - and the IP address of the computer of the person leaving the testimonial is also logged just in case).
