Hi

I am a qualified beauty therapist level one and two and qualified ten years ago, after training I decided it wasnt what I wanted to do but always kept a keen interest and took more of the make up route.

I am starting my own mobile make up artistry business and want to do some treatments but as time has gone on I know there will be many advancements does anyone know of any good refresher courses in the midlands or in Leeds that I can 'hand pick' what I refresh on that are a day or two?

I remember 90% but want to be up to date..

Any advice anyone can give will be a massive help I am sorting insurance etc

Thanks xxxx

I can help you out with learning individual eyelash extensions in the Leeds area,
i believe this is something that is required if you do a make up service, just send me a PM if you want any details

:) Hi hun, I did the same as you. And only started up years after training I was convinced that things would have moved on too much but it really hasn't as far as basic techniques go. Massage and waxing except for products improving are still basically the same. Facials again down to newer better products, but a facial routine is still pretty much the same.
I did go and do a couple of day courses to ie. Intermate waxing and hopi ear candles just to boost my confidence, the Beauty academy do the them. But these are not cheap.
Go for a couple of treatments at a local salon that you where thinking of doing, it will put your mind at rest that you can do it.
Nice for you and you can ask questions about products.
Also go and get an account at your local beauty suppliers, you can brouse the products and they quite often advertise 1 day courses too.
Goo luck be brave it takes time to build up the clients but its a great job.
take care, Faye.xx

That's really helpful thanks for that, I have been thinking of doing that and my friend who is a beauty therapist said she would go through things with me its all about the confidence your right.. I think I will do a bridal make up course to give my clients that extra bit of confidence and the waxing is a must I agree..!

Thanks again I really apprechiate it xxxxx
