Is this a trial? Or is it 'the one'? I allways do a trial on brides to discuss what they want out of the tan and to see if they like it. I know how you feel, I still and will probably allways feel the pressure about tanning brides! Just think, stick to a lighter % if they haven't had a trial just incase  and if they demand a darker % then get them to sign a disclaimer to be on the safe side. I try and talk them into an 8.5% and maybe a 10% as I don't think it has enough dha to turn you orange. hth x x

its 'the one' i was speaking to her last night asking if she had ever had a spray tan done before and she said 'no' and i was like 'oh'...which solution should i use? the 8.5 or the 10? she only booked in to have it done last night and the wedding is next week so i wont have time to do a trial run on her. I am glad i am not the only one who is nervous about tanning a bride-to-be. Talk about being thrown in at the deep end!

You need to be very careful with brides.... I would always do a trial (I have only done a few brides and they have all turned out perfect - having done a trial first). You can still 'trial' spray tan her today/tomorrow and get her to exfoliate well before the next spray tan - is the spray tan booked next Wednesday scheduled two days before the wedding?? make sure it is...just in case there are any problems that you can correct....

Good luck!

could you not just spray her legs, she will prob be wearing a long dress and i find that quite a lot of thetime legs need an extra coat anyway, also depending on the solution go for an 8.5 on her legs if she likes it great if she wants a little darker you can go for the 10, hope this helps a little xxx

The other thing you could do is get her to come to your salon and spray 2 patches (one 8.5% and one 10%) on her midriff/ stomach area, and get her to check the colours 24 hour later and decide which she prefers. That way she can't blame you as she will have seen the colours and made the decision herself.
We started doing this a couple of months ago when we got a spate of nervous clients afraid they'd go orange. They were very reassured when they saw the colour after it had developed, and happy to go ahead with their tans.

I know it's a worry as it's their big day, but as long as you explain everything thorougly so they understand, you can both talk through which one is best. I've got a trial in a couple of weeks and she is very very pale  and also a bridesmaid. It certainly keeps you on your toes x x

Hate to throw a spanner in the works but ask her if here husband to be is having a tan as well because if he's pale skinned the pics wont come out right. U may get two instead of one!!! sorry x
