Normal?

Is it normal to put a layer of really hard setting uv gel under shellac colour? Also is it normal to use an electric file which has left my cuticle area really sore with small cuts in places. I've never had shellac before but just assumed it was the same as gelish etc?

I have moved to Consumer.

No this isn't proper CND Shellac procedure.
Even if Brisa Lite Smoothing gel was required under Shellac no buffing of the nail plate is required.
