Hello

Does anyone use the new white Express tips from NSI? I haven't tried them but am thinking about getting a set.

I always create my white by using a clear tip and then painting the white on with gel, as that's the way my tutor trained me. If I use these express tips, I understand I have to buff the shine off first is that right?

Why don't they just make them matt in the first place if the shine has to be removed?!

Anyway, I have a green and a purple sand turtle (buffer), is that sufficient to take the shine off?

Also, when doing rebalance / infills etc, I know I'll need to move the white further down the nail, and can do this with POW. But would I need to paint completely over the existing white tip, or just the edge where the new natural nail is showing through?

Can you notice a colour difference between the POW and the express tip?

Creative make a beautiful white well less tip called Performance Tips that already have the shine removed to help you and to make the application even faster. Why not give them a try? Why spend time buffing when you do not have to? If you are NSI trained you can buy them. 08452106060

Shine has to be removed by a 180 file or less. No idea what grit your files are but 180 or less is the rule.

You would need to paint your white over the regrowth and the whole tip for a nice smooth application, easier finishing, and so that you see no colour difference.

I have never removed the shine from any tip i have used ....... just make sure there are no greasy fingerprints in them (use a product/wipe to remove any residue before application), be careful with scrubfresh though, as it can crack some tips.

As an experiment, put some acrylic on an unbuffed tip (then try to get it off) .... it won't budge( bend it, flex it, pinch it), acrylic sticks to ABS plastic like shyte to a blanket.

I use the creative performance tips, natural and white, quite a bit and they are great...prep...adhere tip...acrylic application...buff and go...great for busy salons with a tight diary

My understanding was that the poster uses GEL and with gel you do need to buff the shine off a white tip with a 180 file or it will peel off.
