Hi Geeks,

Just wondering if the nsi lineout can be used to help blend the acylic in after a ful set to prevent lifting or not??
Thanks xx

not sure what you mean by 'to prevent lifting or not' it is used to blend the file line when you infill, as far as im aware it doesnt prevent lifting.

Im having a few problems with the acrylic lifting after a few days and Another nail tecnician told me to put a little nsi line out around the cutical area just as i am finishing the nails to help prevent the acrylic from lifting?? Just checking if there is any truth in this or not and if it would help? Has anyone actually dont this?

i dont know nsi products ..... but it sounds like a product that ezflow do called ez-erase which is an acetone based product that you can paint on (during an infill/rebalance) very small lifted areas on the nail - usually around the cuticle. all it does is melt it slightly to make it easier to file away. you definately should not paint it on around finished nails...it will probably ruin the finished look. It is called line out as it helps you get rid of fill lines during infills.
but like i say i am only presuming this product is similar to this....but it very much sounds like it.
i dont think there is any such product that you can paint on to prevent lifting...... only good practices, good application and clients that look after their nails will prevent lifting.
xxx

i would not use it at all.nsi line out is for when you are doing an infill/rebalance and you have abit of lifting that you just cant seem to file away.
if i was you i would look into whats causing you're clients to get lifting and i would start by looking at you're prep work and then your mix ratio.x

i wouldnt reccommend using line out on the finshed nail. I use it when doing an infill , you file down any lifted product and prep as normal and then once all prep has be done apply line out over the fill line and then apply product. It just seals down the edges and helps to hide the old fill line. most of the time there isnt really a need for it but it does help to seal down the edges of the old product before you apply the new xxx

Hayles, IMO nothing is better than learning great techniques. Ensure your prep is impeccable, application bevelled on all edges with a tiny free margin and then followed through with great finishing techniques - seal the cuticle line and the free edge lines with a fine file (remember to file the enhancement not the natural nail - no rings of fire ok)

NSI Line Out is a product designed to hide the imperfections of unslightly fill lines when doing a rebalance. Although this product does work on the very small lines it still IMO has its day of reckoning, iykwim. Again IMO nothing is better than great filing techniques to eliminate lifted product - check out the tutorials - Geeg has written about file control - these are so well worded and easy to understand.

Often it is so easy to reach for a band aid to fix a problem, but really we need to prevent rather than cure.
So rule of thumb "If it is out of whack you must go back" ie if you have lifting you must go back to a new seal and reapply, anything less will lead to service breakdown and cost you more in the long run.
