Can you tell me which files you use for l&p application?

Iv been using files from sallys but am interested in the endurance files, and have just noticed they do a double sided file which is 180/240 grit, this sounds better but maybe im wrong?!

i quite like 240 grit files for prep and dont like to use anything too harsh... what do you use?

while im training im using a 100/180 and a separate 240 grit file per person, keeping them in separate bags (hardly use to 100grit side though). but when i qualify hopefully ill have too many clients to do this with so would like to get used to something i can disinfect and use on multiple people.

advice please!

Hi, I use the endurance files and the sand turtle buffers. They last so much longer and you can disinfect them. I bought some files from Sallys and they really don't last long at all, so I very quickly switched back to the endurance files.

i also use endurance 180 files for l & P and love them! they last ages, id ssay i went through 10 in 5 months so that to me is a huge saving right away!

huge thanks for the replies :)
the 180 endurance files and sand turtle are what ill probably buy (when i get paid) (i assume the sand turtle will mean i dont need a separate 240 file??? (i sometimes use it for filing out lifting).

Also, what do you prefer to use to disinfect them?

i use the endurance files and love them.they last ages and the shape is fab and makes them easier to use.
i use the green sand turtle on gel to finish and then i go over with my 180 grit file for the cuticle area and sidewalls.
i use my 100 grit for reducing bulk and then my 150/180 for finishing acrylic i then use the sand turtle to remove scratches.
i use my sanatiser on all my metal implements and files aswell as mine and my clients hands.its a great product and i wouldnt be without it.x

thanks for the reply, do you mean you just spray them?
no soaking?
xXx

yes because if i was to get blood or something (which ive only ever done once i think) i would just throw it away

These are my favourite files. I have used a lot of different ones in my time and have settled on the Endurance and Turtle boards. Just try them, you will love them.;)
