OPI Foundation - anyone?!

Hi all

Am 99% going to book the OPI complete foundation course tomorrow. It includes most things but not basic mani/pedi. I'm a total newbie and want to go with a company that has a great reputation, which OPI does (from a novice/consumer point of view!!). I know that most people on here have done CND....

Have read loads of opinions on here and was going to go with Bio Sculpture because the coloured gels really appeals to me, but want to have the option to offer customers extension enhancements as well.

Has anyone done the OPI foundation course? How did you find it?

I'm so excited to finally get something booked and just want to make sure it's a decent course....

I converted to OPI last year so I did their conversion course. You will find them very thorough in their training and their after support is second to none. If you are salon based you will have a rep come and see you every 2 months which is great for finding out about new products, but also to get general technical and business advice.

My OPI rep is great and I feel that she really adds to my business.

They are a world renowned company, fantastic products and well worth training with.

Thanks Debs, will keep my fingers crossed. Everyone on here goes on about CND so much that I wonder whether I've made a mistake going with OPI. I did ring Sweet squared and they said they'd ring me back to have a chat with the me but never did so I wasn't really that impressed. OPI have been really good with the contact though. We'll see I guess!!

Interesting comment as Sweet Squared are absolutely KNOWN for returning all calls!! Usually when someone doesn't hear back we find they rang an incorrect option and the call did not go to the right place. 01132173801 is the direct dial to education ... or they rang in the morning and are complaining by the afternoon when they are getting through calls as fast as they can as well as taking orders etc. Try the direct dial number. People don't 'go on' about something for no reason do they? Patience is also a virtue. :green:

I spoke to someone about ten days ago and clearly said that I wanted to find some more out about training and the lady said she would get someone to call me back. I still haven't heard anything. And I don't think 10 days is being impatient!! I'm sure that sweet squared are fantastic, but people do make mistakes and maybe they just didn't ring me back for some reason, forgot etc. Not to worry, it must be fate or something!!

Hi, I have done OPI and Lcn courses and have felt very let down by a certain products that I have used with OPI and spent a lot of money on. My rep didnt even really want to know me as I was not going to be spending loads as I was home based.:irked:
I can say very honestly that I have never been treated so well as I was when I had the pleasure of meeting Gigi :hug:and the wonderful staff at sweet squared. I was lucky enough to spend time on a 121 basis with Gigi and she totally restored my faith in the education side of nails and also introduced me to a fantastic range of products.:green: Never once was I made to feel I had to buy products that would not be used, this has happened so many times on courses.
I just wish that I had found sweet squared at the begining of my training, I would have saved a fortune and also had some great support from a company that is like a big family.

Thanks Jane, but it's too late! I've paid my deposit now and can't afford to lose £250. I'll be pretty narked if that's how I'm treated....

And gigi, sweetsquared rang me back this afternoon and apologised for taking so long - what a coincidence eh?!!!!

Foundation learning is Foundation learning ... it is where you start .. it is not always where you end up. I started with OPI too so you're in good company ... It's not where I ended up. :hug: Have fun, enjoy, and continue to grow.
