I trained on Perron Rigot Cirepil wax in school and loved it. I've also been looking into Berins wax since I have heard good feedback. I would like to purchase a starter kit but am torn which one to go with. Has anyone had good experience with either one? Thanks for your help.

have only tried berrins out of the ones youve mentioned but I found it sooo easy to use. its sets quickly & never goes brittle. Love it!

The berins Jet set would be great for you in summer
as it is made to set quick when usually the weather is a setting issue,
the blue and ease are great waxes too hth

Butterfly7.....you'll find little difference between Berins and Perron Rigot. In fact, the creator is the same man.

Why don't you contact Eva's Esthetics direct in the US as their starter kits might be different from here in the UK?

I know that with PR, some parts of the world don't stock some of their waxes. HTH's xxx

Thanks ladies for the feedback. Kim, I was curious to know which are your favorite PR waxes to work with? Thanks.

Thanks ladies for the feedback. Kim, I was curious to know which are your favorite PR waxes to work with? Thanks.

I only ever use Cristal Ocean strip wax as it's very economical and it just happens to be hypo-allergenic which is great. The others have gorgeous aroma's but I only do waxing so cost wise it works out great for me. I train with that too and although the students think it's a bit thin and runny, by the end of the day, they love it. The trick is to put it on so thin that you can barely see it.

I use Euroblonde for Intimate waxing.

I have them all and a close second to Euroblonde would be Escential Rose which looks exactly the same as Berins Jet Set (cream coloured beads). It sets immediately but then I never have a problem with my Euroblonde setting so I stick with that, unless I just fancy a change.

Do you have both of these PR waxes there? If not, let me know which ones you have and I'll advise you further.

Hope that helps. xxx

Hi Kim. Yeah you were right they only market certain ones over here. I can easily get it from the school I attended but they only have Cirepil Blue, Elva Rose and Nache Blanche (not sure of spelling). Thanks for your help.

Hi hun, i do not think u can go wrong with either. I use both berins and perron rigot. Even though the same french man has introduced the berins range, if i have worded that correctly. I personally have found that the berins is a slightly improved range. I love the jet set as said above in the summer, as when it is hot your client through nerves or whatever seems to get hotter and hotter as well making the jet set fab. I also like the blue hot wax of berins and find applying it easier. But you may hate it. It is down to everyones personal prefference i think.
I like kim love the oceon blue and would not swap it for anything, but again i have had a few teething issues with this one in the cold weather with it setting up very fast, were as i here the berins does not set up. But there wax is more of a creme from what i have scene on lori dvd, rather than being more oil like like the perron rigot strip wax. So not sure if it will be as cost effective or as smooth to apply. But will let u no when i have tried it.
If i was u as you already are familiar with perron rigot i would pm collin on here and ask for a sample to be sent so u can have a try and see what u think for yourself, as honestly i think it is down to every individual prefference and what works best for them and their clients.
hth hun

Jenny, thanks for your reply. I will see if I can get a hold of a sample of the Berins before I make my decision. Please do post your opinion after you have tried their other wax. Question for you, what kind of wax pot do you use? I am looking for a double wax pot so I can offer hard and soft wax at same time. Thanks.

I have used and do still use both waxes, and they are very very similar and very easy to use. In the Perron Rigot range I use the green tea strip wax and the euroblonde hard wax for intimate, face, underarm waxing. In the Berins line I use both the Jet Set (warmer times of the year only) and Berins blue hard wax and the Ease strip wax.

The difference between the euroblonde and the berins blue is that the blue is a little more flexible and stays so even after removal for some time whereas I have found the euroblonde does go brittle quite quickly.

In terms of application I haven't noticed any significant differences though.

At the end of the day IT IS down to personal preference so go and get yourself some samples of Berins and judge for yourself.

i was using berins hot wax and perron riggot warm wax.....but hadsome PR euroblonde to try after my berins ran out. i gave in to temptation and used the euroblonde on a couple of clients.......now im hooked on it!!!i find PR easier to apply and find it doesnt leave as much residue behind, especially as the berins is blue i find the colour is sometimes left on the skin and can looklike a bruise and give you a heart attack for a couple of secs!!!:eek::eek::eek:

The only thing that i find is that if i set both waxes at 3 on my heater.......PR feels just too hot, especially wen im having a brazilian but that could just be me being heat sensitive.....any1 else found this?

I have got loads of the berins stuff left but dont want to go backusing it after PR!!!

It is truely personal preference!i went for the berins after hearing others opinions about it but for me PR is heads and shoulders above berins. sorry guys. Just order 1 PR and 1 berins, try them out then make your decission.

As with the wax pots.....i just use two hive of beauty heaters, if you already have 1 heater dont waiste it by buying a double, just buy another single. The double heaters seem to be smallerthan some of the single heaters which means alot more time being spent filling the things up!

Collin is not available as his father just passed away quite suddenly. So all wax aside, our hearts to him!

I have never used the Escentials. I used PR for 23 years and now use Berins. Love them both, prefer Berins.

Hi Lori! I follow your threads slavishly and would love to workshop with you one day. I have tried to find the PR or any of the other waxes you recommend locally (Southern Cali) and have had no luck. Even called the PR (Cerapil) rep in the midwest once or twice to order and they never contacted me back :( how do you order your wax?
