I am sure I have seen a thread about this but can't find it.

Anyway I have a dining chair for client to sit on but I will have to sit on floor. Had thought about client sitting up on couch but then how is she going to get her feet in the lamp. I don't have a foot stool yet. Don't want to turn the 2 clients away. What would you do? I suppose at least with gel toes they don't take as long as finger nails.

Do you have a nice cushion to sit on? That will do in a pinch until you get something better. I built a pedastal for my client chair that puts their feet on a level to not be back breaking for me when sitting on my stool and it works great!

That is a very good idea, thank you.

my friend has her clients sit on the settee then she sits on the floor. She raises the foot she is working on, up onto a small step (the type young children use to reach the sink/toilet) and moves the lamp either side of the step on the floor.

does that make sense? it seemed to work well :)

Now there's a clever idea. The step would be easy to clean as well x

That makes perfect sense & I shall try that. Thank you.

I have my clients sit in a large oversized chair, I place the lamp (it's a double lamp) on top of a footstool and I work on my knees. While painting the toes I have them place their feet on top of the lamp, then they slip their foot inside of the lamp. It works out well, even my older clients are able to get in and out of the lamp without any trouble because of the lamp being placed on the top of a footstool.
