Hi all, ive done a search but couldn't find anything on the prices that are being charged for Minx, ive only received my starter pack recently and have to invest in a lamp and practice, practice, practice but I was just curious to know what pro's are charging for this service??

It will really depend on the area you are in.
Personaly I charge an extra £10 to a treatment alot of people charge an extra £15 but I wouldnt get that in the area I live.

So for a Minx Manicure I would charge £20 (Mini Manicure £10)
Minx Pedicre s £23 (Mini Pedicure £13)

If someone wanted them on top of a more expensive treatment ie; Enhancements or Spa Mani/Pedi then I would still charge £10 extra whether I would get that here or nor is another thing:rolleyes:

I agree with Klassy Klaws, getting the exta money out of people is a hard task, ezpecially these days.
I've tried puting a charge of £15 for the minx( on top of what ever nail service they've had) and nobody seems to be interested. There was a slight beter response at £10.
Minx are not cheep to buy but you have to make a profit and justify your time.
I've tried all the sales talk about how they last, and how good the designs are but the the answer i get generally get is 'well i get that length of time out of the nail varnish anyway so why pay more and if I want something added I can have nail art'
I might have to have a think about my price list/menu in general to make the minx more appealing.
Mayby I will get more luck with summer coming because a few have said they would be more interested in the minx on toes.

This is so true with me too I am really getting no call for them!
I have found people dont want their fingers done but have said that having them on their toes in the summer is something they might have so I am going to do a Minx drive for toes in May to see if I can bring in some clients.
In my opinion they look better on toes :!:

do you wear them yourself del???? I really think with it being such a new product people wont understand what is actually is without seeing it....so the best advert is to wear it yourself....i wear flip flops rain or shine and regularly have them on my toes, i always get comments whether it be for why would i be wearing such inappropriate shoes or how good the minx look lol!!

Thats so true about people not understanding what they are.....it was only yesterday I was talking to my bis. advisor about minx...I showed her a picture and she said 'oh is that like silver polish?' I said 'no its metallic...and it isnt polish' ...she said 'its not polish?? what is it then!' and she gave me the most confused face ive ever seen lol, I also find it quite difficult myself to describe to people what they are...without saying 'sticker'! A sticker is the last word I want to use but its also the first word that pops into my head when im asked what it is!

But anyway...at 'the event' cnd recommend we could easily charge up to £35 per set for either fingers and toes...and without knocking any off if the client was to have both toes and fingers done!

I dont think there are many that could actually get away with charging that...and im not sure there are many that do charge that...I personally havent set my prices yet but im definately going to charge more for toes and maybe £30 or £35.....this is because I have found people seem more interested and would be more willing (and daring) to wear them on their toes...summer is not far off ..and also it seems the toe minx will more than likely last for weeks and weeks without any problems so imo £30 - £35 for toes is worth it....fingers ive found personally get tatty on the edges after a few days so I wouldnt charge as much.

I think in general yes you have to charge what is acheivable...but also you need to be careful as to not charge too little to cheapen the product as well...I think alot of this will depend on how you market it as well tho x just my two pennies worth! x

and also id like to add that doing a sample nail is definately a good thing....to give u an example.....I minxed my mum a few weeks ago....now my mum is not interested in nails at all...shes guinea pigged for me but thats as far as her nail care goes.....so I convinced her to have these minx for a party we were going to...and she absolutely loved them! she said shed like her toes doing for summer. I also have a friend who isnt interested in anything girly...nails, make up or anything really....she wasnt interested in the minx at all but I convinced her to have a sample nail done.....when she got home she called me to say she wanted a full set doing! So definately do sample nails for free for anyone struggling to sell them x

Thanks guys, I just wanted to see what ye were charging as its true you have to make a profit but its hard to charge so much when peeps don't believe or understand the benefit of this unique service. Il have to think long and hard about how much I will be charging as I don't want to cheapen them but will need to start selling them!!

sample nails are exactly what i am going to do!!.....you do get a few left over after doing a complete set and i have kept all these so that in the summer i can do sample nails with out it costing me anything ....as they have already been paid for in the sets i have done

just to add to this i definately think it is worth keeping magazine articles where celebrties have been pictured wearing them...there are loads about with beyonce, lady gaga and christina aguilera......celebs have defo got to be the best advert for them

Sian....flip flops in this weather?!?!?!?:eek:
Your braver than I am:lol:
I did wear the minx on my self but at the moment (because of the state of my hands) I cant wear anything, not even minx:cry:
I have minxed as many of my familly as I can
Friends are another matter. it all boils down that issue of if it's free they say yes please, but asked to pay towards the cost its another story:confused:
I havn't done the dogs yet though hmmm...

Just to add I agree with annas statment with not wanting to 'cheapen' the product either....they are way to good for that.

I charge £20 as a standalone service and £15 as an add on, and no-one has complained about the price! I've said it before but I think £35 for a service that takes me an hour is too expensive, and I wouldn't have any demand for it at that price at all.......

Once the nicer weather is here I will have it on my toes and that will bring business - it always does!
