Hi guys,
I'm looking for a make up range to introduce to my salon. The make up I'm looking for has to be mineral based. There are so many brands around and I'm a bit confused which one to go for. So far I think I should go for Proto-col or Jane Iredale, they both are very good quality and both are good for your skin. I wonder if someone in here has any experience with those brands, if you could, please help me to decide which one to go for. Or may be you know some other good make up brands I should look at. Thanks a lot:hug::hug::hug:

Do you use Environ? If so I would go with Jane Iredale. I'm considering going with them in the future, possibly early next year. I was impressed when the rep went through the brand with me and it fits with the skincare principles too.

hi girls

i use and stock jane iredale, i can hand on heart say its fab!
jane iredale was the first ever company to bring out mineral make-up, there make up is 100% natural and recommended but plastic sergeons and skin therapists!
i have just had a jane iredale make up event today they send out a proffesional make up artist and you book 8 clients in with her to be made over all the clients today bought products they all loved the products and been shown how to apply them correctly!
the profit margins are good too!
jane iredale gets a big thumbs up from me! xx

Thanks a lot girls, it really helped:) I just wondered if there is any one who has any experience with proto-col make up, they do supplements and skin care too. Does any one has this range in their salons? If so, what do you think about it? Thanks:hug:

Have a look at Krush Minerals, they are a up and coming range. Its a true mineral make-up so doesn't contain any fillers etc. The packaging is fab too.x hth

Thanks, I'll have a look at them.

I looked at many ranges now, and these two are the favorite so far. But I have to say I can't understand the reason why JI is more dear then Proto-col. It looks like they both are the same good quality make up ranges, I'll have a rep from JI soon, will ask her that. Would any one else has anything to say about that?

Hi,
I have Proto-col in my home salon. I have the whole range, skincare, supplements and make up although I haven't stretched to the tanning yet.

I love the make up!!! When I first started to use them, they only had a few make up products but they have recently expanded the range. The make up is great. It gives a flawless finish, you can put as little or as much is needed without looking caked in it.....and it is affordable, i think.

hth, liza x

I've used and like both.

Of the two, Jane Iredale wins for me though as they have a good range of foundations - colours and finishes. It is a good professional brand. The company are very supportive of their stockists.

Proto-col has only one type of foundation in only 4 shades I think - and unfortunately it is a bit too sparkly for everyday wear.
I have spoken to them about the need for a foundation with less mica, they said that they were looking into developing one... that was a long time ago - nothing yet.

We also use Jane Iredale at work. It's a fab make-up range, cant fault it. The clients seem to love it and their training is absolutely fantastic. You learn so much. The only thing I dont like are the brushes but apart from that i'd say go for it xxx

hi just to say I love JI , I use environ too. Wasn't sure if you knew but there is also ANP (Advanced Nutriton Programme) recommended by iiaa - the JI rep will be able to tell you about that too I should think - just mention it as you mentioned supplements hope that is a help x

j i is prob more dear because they have a lot of glossy brochures and swanky packaging plus they have EVERYTHING!! A lot of the other companies dont do lipglo sses or mascaras but jane ire have a very impressive range. I would love it in but I think it is just too expensive to retail. I did do the training in it and it is a fab product.
