Hi everyone!

This site is excellent it feels like one big family!
O.k so my first post and guess what yet another question.
I trained to do gel nails in France but the industry is not as developed over hear, there is no nail tec qualification apparently you have to be a trained beautician (which takes a minimum of 1 year in collage) to perform manicures and pedicures but I am certified to do gel nails. Does anyone know if there is a nail tec qualification that is recognized in Europe?

In Denmark, which is part of EU, theres none... basically you cant buy products and call yourself nailtech....
Maybe the same in France?
I know this doesn't help much, but I tried LOL:green:

That`s a very good question which has been in my mind for some time as well. As logically and practically you can not do nail extensions if you don`t perform manicure. So, if you have a certificate for doing gel nails it should allow to do manicure as well. Anyway, I am still not sure about the legal side of this.
I will finish my CND L&P course in 3 weeks (my long course :)) and will face the same question - can I perform manicure with that certificate or do I need some other qualifications?
Well, experienced geeks, please share your thoughts :)

CND training is internationally recognised,
during the training that you will receive you will be taught how to prep a natural nail,
this is taught as standard with CND and replaces the need to hold a manicure qualification,
these are questions that you should be firing at your educator who i am guessing is Kelly,
just ask her she will be happy to answer all your questions, she has been trained to have all the correct info, hth
