Thank you! :0)

Can I apply Minx on acrylics, & gels?

You should order the middle priced kit (the $*** Training Kit) as it has all you need to get started. After it ships, you will recieve an email with a passcode and access to the on-line training video. We will also be at the Premier Show in Orlando, and offering training seminars while we are there. Minx can be applied to any type of nail enhancement. You mave have to hit it with a buffer block first (something you don't need to do to a natural nail. You can reach me at [email protected] or at 805-496-1868 if there is anything I can help you with.

I know of a couple of therapists, myself included, who have applied to acrylic and minx has lifted within 2 days, would using a buffer block stop this from happening?

NO .. in a word.

What causes the Minx to lift are the clients constantly stroking the ends of their fingers and pushing the Minx off the very end. NEVER happens with toes because clients do not stroke the ends of their toes. They start doing it to their nails as soon as you have done them :irked:.

Tell them not to and don't give them false expectations re their fingernails. Minx will not last as long on fingernails as toes because they are treated completely differently. When I didn't touch mine, they lasted nearly 3 weeks on my fingernails.

Myself and clients have had them on natural nails for 2 weeks and they were absolutely fine. Its only clients who have had them on top of acrylic where they lift, its not my application either because I've heard of other people who have had them done at other salons where they had the same problem.
I will try it on myself tomorrow to satisfy myself.

That is because the enhancement is thicker than a natural nail and easier to 'roll' the Minx back when you fiddle with the ends of the fingers. When I wore my Minx for nearly three weeks, it was wearing them over acrylic enhancements. I did fiddle a bit to begin with and rolled a couple of the ends back but just pressed the end back on again and smoothed it into place ... and then I stopped playing with them and they were fine.

Right, I put my minx on on Sunday, applied acrylic overlay to one nail and put minx on that and another natural nail and guess what, it stayed put, just removed it 10 minutes ago as I'm going out. All I did different to any other time was buff it with a white block.

If it works for you then great keep doing it.
