But I read something on here thats got me thinking..

My client is a vibrant 5.65 in Majirel...
She wants to be a chocolate brown (4.15)

Am I okay to just put a 4 or 5 semi all over, but still get chocolate affect?
Or add a slight bit of Ash?

I know this is really basic, but I dont want her to be glowing too much!!

Thanks x x x

By applying a 4 or a 5 the red will still show through. I would probably apply ash brown with 20 vol which should take it to a flat brown. Then you could try applying a chocolate brown shade with 3%. If in doubt you could always do test piece.
Hope this helps x

Thanks for the reply!
How come 20vol and not semi susan.. Just out of curiosity :) xxx

Hiya, I think by using the 20 first with an ash brown to eliminate the red would give a better base to then go on and use a semi to create a nice chocolate brown colour of your choice. xxx
