Hi there,

I am booked in to do a custom blend course next month. I used natural opaque and soft white. I have read somewhere that zone 3 needs to be a little transulant so as to make the nails look more natural. Can someone give me some pointers on this, what colours to mix etc. I need to do an infil/rebalance next week.

Many thanks

It should automatically be more translucent because it is thinner. You can add a touch or Perfect Pink to the powder if you want to, but I never do.

Watch the CND videos on U tube or on the CND website to see exactly how to do your custom blend perfectly and beautifully. You will see that it looks translucent in zone 3 with just normal application. You will also see Roxanne Valinoti work with immaculate brush technique as described in 'nailclass'. If you haven't seen these videos then you really should .. they are a free class on line from CND.

All I do hun, to make zone 3 more translucent is make sure zone 2 is completely flush with the nail plate sort of fading to nothing near to zone 3....then for the zone 3 bead I usually just pick up a small bead of my coverage powder, and then dip it into my sheer pink before applying to the nail...

I don't know why its different on myself though, But I usually manage with just a smaller bead of normal coverage,
