Hi, i am really unhappy with the wax i'm using. I know there are quite a few threads on here about waxes but i was hoping someone could recommend not only a wax (warm, to use with strips) but also the prewax and afterwax lotion and even the best strips to use to go with it as i want a whole new system.

I'm going to the Professional beauty show in October so am hoping to check out the waxing stands there but am keen to hear opinions on here.

thanks

Use a light oil instead of talc under your wax. xx

I know prewax oil is used under hard wax but i didn't realise it could also be used under warm wax. thanks for the tip.

Be very sparing with oil under warm wax. If the skin's shiny - blot!

With regard to brands, we all have our favourites, but the only way to find out your own personal favourite, is by trying them out. GMex will be an excellent opportunity to buy small quantities of a number of brands, without having to suffer P&P costs.

What I would be looking for in a warm wax, is one that spreads very thinly, removes all the hairs first time (inc the short ones) and doesn't leave a sticky residue.

Have a great time at GMex, be sure to check out the Berins stand where Lori Nestore will be doing demonstrations.
